The Johnson's: SOME VACATION!

Well, we attempted to have a nice relaxing week with my family in Branson. Not so much! Parr and I flew to LR last Sat. to meet my sister, her kids, mom and step dad, and brother and then travel to Branson for a few days. I will try to keep this from being a forever long story! Anyone who knows me to well knows that is hard!haha

Saturday evening while at my grandparents Parr decided to climb a chair that my niece was sitting in. It then fell over, throwing him on the hardwood floor and the chair and my niece on top! He cried for a little bit but then seemed to be just fine. Later on in the night he began to vomit several times! I panicked and called our doctor's office in Austin. The nurse said we should go to Children's Hospital ER. So, at 2:00 A.M. we headed to Children's. After one CT scan (all clear), several stickers, and failed attempts to keep Parr away from the machines, we were released! The doctor said it was probably just congestion from crying so much.

So, off to Branson we go on Sunday! Sunday and monday Parr would eat breakfast and lunch but then throw it up towards the afternoon. He was playing fine so I still thought it was an Upper Resp. Infection. Tuesday afternoon he became completely limp, he would only open his eyes every once in a while and wouldn't eat or drink. Wed. morning he woke up with 103.5 and still wouldn't eat or drink or play! This was serious because when he has been at his sickest he still is playing! So, we went to the nearest Urgent Care center and while checking in he began to vomit all over the waiting room! A mother's dream!haha We were then sent home again with antibiotics and still told it was just a virus. Wednesday went the same as tuesday. Thursday morning same thing still 103.5 and no signs of energy. At this point two days with no wet diapers! Off to the ER, again! This time the admitted him. They had to give him lots of liquids through IV (9 tries to get IV in, finally resorting to the foot!) and by the end of Thurs. he finally had a wet diaper! We were now also on the third day of no talking and barely opening his eyes. It was so so sad. Michael flew to Springfield to join us Thurs. evening. After lots of blood work, several bags of fluid, and breathing treatments we were released Friday evening with the diagnosis of Walking Pneumonia!!! Wow!! Lots to write but this was certainly not my idea of vacating!!! We saw Parr's pediatrician today and things are looking up!
