We now have to be outside ALL of the time! He gets up in the morning and goes over to get my shoes and stand my the door. Unless he is eating or napping he wants to be outside! Here are a few pictures from today. Parr is napping now so I am going to do the same!

17 MONTHS!
Today Parr is 17 mths! I can't believe how fast time has flown. God has truly blessed us and we laugh at how much he changes from day to day now.
He weighs 25 lbs (same as Oscar!) We know this because we went to the doctor last Friday for a little cough. Nothing major just a little infection.
His favorite words, "daddy", "momma", "doggy", "my", "ball", "nana" (sometimes for his grandmother and sometimes for a banana!), "hello", "ba" (bad) and several other things that he is very serious about but we have not been able to translate yet! I made the mistake of letting him out of the buggy at Target today. (you more experienced moms are laughing now at what I have created!) And as I was choosing one of the three toys he put in the cart, he took about 6 of the toy wheelbarrows and lined them up in the isle. As kids were passing by he was trying to pass them out! Most not interested! This did not make him happy! Hopefully he will forget I let him do that next time we go. (once again you are laughing I know!)
He is really copying everything we do! He has heard Michael burp a time or two and so now he goes around making a burping noise after he drinks. Aren't we proud!haha
He can count to three. Using his fingers for only one and two. Sometimes if he really wants to do something he will skip one or two and go straight to three.
Things have certainly gotten easier now that he knows what he wants. He is sure to let us know if we aren't understanding what he is trying to say!
Okay, so that is enough bragging. I usually don't do an update but I decided to do it just this once since Parr is doing a lot of new things.
Here are a few pictures of Parr playing with his new toy. Of course, it has to do with bubbles!

HAPPY HOUR...
SWEET MEMORIES...
Michael and I were looking on the computer last night at some of the video we have taken since Parr was born. We came across this one and I couldn't resist posting it. I can't remember exactly how old Parr was but I think about 4 or 5 mths. He is playing with Doe Doe, my great-grandmother, she was 96 yrs old and past away in December. We miss her so so much and I couldn't help but laugh and cry while watching this. She loved Parr and all the kids so much and even though he was little you can tell in the video he loved her as well! We cherish these sweet memories so much and I am so thankful we have them on video and lots of pictures of her with him so that we can show him one day and tell him just how special she was. It isn't too often that you get to play with your great great grandmother! So, I hope you enjoy and for all of you that still have grandparents and great- grandparents around be sure to cherish every moment you have with them.

How Cute!
We attempted to take a picture of Parr, Cortlyn, and Mary Keaton in their matching outfits. Not so easy!!! When one would laugh the other would cry. But they are all so cute it didn't matter. My sister got some that were much cuter but here are a few of mine. It is so funny to see them all and see their individual personalities. Thank you Aunt Haley, Uncle Chris, Cortlyn, and Mary Keaton for letting us stay. And to all our family, we had such a great weekend and were so glad to see each and every one of you. We can't wait to see you again soon!
Look at that face! Apparently we emphasized smiling to Cortlyn!
I love my cousins!
Train Ride!
At the Blossom festival they had a train ride for the little kids. Parr loved it! They went around several streets and he didn't try to get out of the seat belt. I was a little nervous but we made Cortlyn promise to hold him down if he tried. As many of you probably already suspected, Michael was not with us! He would not have let him go away on the train out of our sight!!! He wanted to go again and again!
Another First!
Another first of the weekend was Parr's first parade. We went to Magnolia to stay with my sister and her family for the weekend and Sat. went to the Blossom Festival. Parr loved all the floats and all the people. He also ate his first Dum Dum sucker and thought he was big. He didn't actually eat it but sucked on it for a while. My mom had a blast with all of the grandkids in one spot. They love their Nana!!!
Congratulations Uncle Tyler!
We had such a great weekend! Friday night my brother graduated from high school. Congratulations Uncle Tyler! I did have any pics from graduation but here are a few from his baseball game. We are so proud of him and Parr really enjoyed his first graduation. He was pretty good considering it started at 8:00. We are normally in bed by 6:30. He was a trooper though!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OSCAR!
Yesterday was our little Oscar's 7th Birthday! For his birthday he got this new toy and some ribs from Waterloo! The ribs are a tradition every year on his birthday! He is the best dog ever (aside from the shedding) and loves Parr. As you can see in the pictures the feelings are mutual! He lets Parr pull his tail, take away his toys, and sit on him. Every morning the first thing Parr does when he wakes up is say "doggy" and go over and hit him in the head! This translates to chase me around the room Oscar. Oscar doesn't mind it because he knows as soon as we get downstairs Parr is going to go get the treat bag and give him one. He has now learned that Oscar will chase him if he has a treat in his hand.
HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! The three of us just went to church and then spent the day playing and enjoying each other (aside from my escape off to get a pedi!!!). It was the best mother's day present I could have had. I feel so lucky to have such a great husband and sweet little boy! And I am also so fortunate to have such a wonderful mother, mother in law and step-mother! Thank you God!
And thank you to all of my friends and family who have taught me and continue to teach me so much about motherhood and are such great examples! I hope I can do the same for someone else.
Here is a picture from a few days ago, I thought Parr and I would go to a paint your own pottery place and make something. I really underestimated his ability to sit still and enjoy this!!! By the end I was slapping paint on our pieces, trying to keep him from eating it and chasing him at the same time! Okay so maybe in a few more months or YEARS we will be ready to give it another go!

The Zoo!
Okay, so I tried to do a slide show and as you can see it didn't work! I am not as creative of a blogger as most of you. So, I will just stick with the pictures.
My mom and I took Parr to the zoo while we were in town and he had so much fun! He loved the giraffes! When we got there to see them they were feeding them so they were up close and personal! He loved it until one tried to give him a kiss!haha Now everything we see that is a giraffe we have to have! The second favorite was the peacock. He thought it was so neat and didn't want to leave.

Two Weeks In Arkansas!
We had so much fun in Arkansas! Parr got to play with his cousins and grandparents and got very very spoiled!!! The first weekend we were there we got together with some of our good friends since birth and their kids! There are a few pics in the slide show of Parr and their children playing which was neat to see. He thought he was just as big as the other kids and especially loved Reese's John Deere!
He also had a big time with his Nana working out in the yard! We can't ask him if he wants a banana now because he thinks we are saying Nana and goes around the house looking for her! He is so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents who love him so much!

Parr's First Haircut!
Parr's hair had been getting a little long in the back so we decided to get his first haircut while we were home. Our good friend Kate (for those of you who know Blake Murray, his wife) offered to bring her scissors and cut it at my parents house. She's the Best! Parr loved it and looks so cute now with his big boy haircut! I think he looks more like Kate than me!haha
