Crazy Hair Night!

After the kids had their bath I decided to make it crazy hair night!  So we fixed them all up with crazy hairdos and the danced around.  They thought it was great!

Another Great Weekend!

This weekend we met my sister, brother in law, and nieces in Dallas for a fun weekend.  We started the tradition last year and plan to continue for many years.  It is an easy meeting place for us and the kids have a blast.  We stayed across from the Galleria and did lots of shopping and watching the kids have so much fun playing!  They all love each other so much and hug each other over and over.  We had the occasional push or argument but always followed by a hug and a kiss.  So Sweet!  The boys played golf on Friday so Haley and I got to have Saturday to ourselves.  We shopped and got to eat lunch with no children!!!  We could actually talk and finish our thoughts!haha  It was wonderful!  We couldn't remember the last time we got to do anything with just the two of us.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful sister!  Here are a few pictures from our dinner at KOBE Sat. night.  Cortlyn's birthday was July 4th and we missed the party so we celebrated at KOBE and she loved it!

18 month checkup!

Today we had Parr's 18 mth checkup.  He is actually 19 mth's but we didn't get it scheduled early enough.  He certainly performed for Dr. Brown!  He untied her shoelaces about 5 or 6 times and everything I said he acted out!  She was laughing so hard at him.  He weighs
26 pounds (50th percentile) and is 32 1/2 inch (50%), I forget what his head was but it was 50th also.  He did okay for the shots.  A little upset at first but as soon as he saw the band-aids he thought it was cool!  We won't go back for 5 more mths when he is 2!!!  I can't believe he will be 2!

Here are a few pics from today.  this is the first build a bear that he actually did himself!  It is a little doggy that barks.  He loves it!

What A Lunch!

Parr slept during our lunch today so when we got home he insisted on eating a pepperoni lean pocket and a yogurt!  There was no convincing him otherwise.  He has to dip everything he eats in something.  Such as, green beans in ketchup, goldfish in salsa, and anything else he is eating(ham, pizza, chicken) in yogurt!  I don't know why he thinks this is so good.  We went to eat Mexican food Friday night and the salsa was so hot that I had to wait until my drink came to eat it.  Parr on the other hand wouldn't stop eating it.  He would alternate between chips, goldfish and tortillas!  So today he dipped his lean pocket in yogurt and then decided to put it in his hair!  He thought it was so funny!  Mom did not!

Fun Afternoon!

This afternoon Parr and I got to keep my nephew Carter.  We had so much fun!  I love watching the two of them.  The will hug and kiss on each other over and over again.  It is so cute!  I laughed a lot because Parr thinks he is really a lot older than Carter.  He would feed Carter his drink and pat him on the back.  One time I looked up and he was trying to help Carter stand up.  Several times they would get into a, who could cough or laugh the loudest, contest!
Parr is now trying to use the potty.  He will tell me when he needs to go and we will go to the bathroom but by the time I get him on the potty he has already gone!  He will still grab some toilet paper and pretend like he is wiping!  I 'll try to take a picture.

Sorry this is so blurry!

Here he is playing peek-a-boo in the curtains

SOME VACATION!

Well, we attempted to have a nice relaxing week with my family in Branson.  Not so much!  Parr and I flew to LR last Sat. to meet my sister, her kids, mom and step dad, and brother and then travel to Branson for a few days.  I will try to keep this from being a forever long story!  Anyone who knows me to well knows that is hard!haha
Saturday evening while at my grandparents Parr decided to climb a chair that my niece was sitting in.  It then fell over, throwing him on the hardwood floor and the chair and my niece on top!  He cried for a little bit but then seemed to be just fine.  Later on in the night he began to vomit several times!  I panicked and called our doctor's office in Austin.  The nurse said we should go to Children's Hospital ER.  So, at 2:00 A.M. we headed to Children's.  After one CT scan (all clear), several stickers, and failed attempts to keep Parr away from the machines, we were released!  The doctor said it was probably just congestion from crying so much.

So, off to Branson we go on Sunday!   Sunday and monday Parr would eat breakfast and lunch but then throw it up towards the afternoon.  He was playing fine so I still thought it was an Upper Resp. Infection.  Tuesday afternoon he became completely limp, he would only open his eyes every once in a while and wouldn't eat or drink.  Wed. morning he woke up with 103.5 and still wouldn't eat or drink or play!  This was serious because when he has been at his sickest he still is playing!  So, we went to the nearest Urgent Care center and while checking in he began to vomit all over the waiting room!  A mother's dream!haha  We were then sent home again with antibiotics and still told it was just a virus.  Wednesday went the same as tuesday.  Thursday morning same thing still 103.5 and no signs of energy.  At this point two days with no wet diapers!  Off to the ER, again!  This time the admitted him.  They had to give him lots of liquids through IV (9 tries to get IV in, finally resorting to the foot!) and by the end of Thurs. he finally had a wet diaper!  We were now also on the third day of no talking and barely opening his eyes.  It was so so sad.  Michael flew to Springfield to join us Thurs. evening.  After lots of blood work, several bags of fluid, and breathing treatments we were released Friday evening with the diagnosis of Walking Pneumonia!!!  Wow!!  Lots to write but this was certainly not my idea of vacating!!!  We saw Parr's pediatrician today and things are looking up!
Parr and I didn't get to do much but here are a few pics from the week.
